Sunday Drivers

I haven't been so tired in a while. Simon and I decided to go out on our bikes and see where we could get. Unfortunately we miscalculated our distances by quite a margin and we wound up travelling a lot farther than we had really hoped for. We started out heading straight south and out of town; fairly straight forward. We tavelled out pretty far, and we knew it, but we made a critical mistake in going home a different way. We thought we were headed due north, but of course we weren't quite. So we wound up reapproaching Ottawa from a totally different direction. By the time we realised how far off course we were it was too late to do anything about it but keep going, and in the end we drove between 60-80km on what was supposed to be a lazy Sunday drive. It was a beautiful day though, so I'm just as happy really. Plus we got to see the exciting locales of Metcalfe, Ray's Reptile Zoo, Ramsayville, and the agricultural heartland of the Ottawa Valley. I guess its good practice if I'm going to do some of it in the summer. The other excitement was cutting the lock off Julia's bike so that I could use it. (Sorry Julia)

Rumour has it you're heading to the Maritimes in May?

If you need somewhere to stay, we're here. We work weird hours most days, but our house is here and you're most welcome.

Take care
Love, Janet

I'm still not absolutely certain about my itinerary yet, but it is still quite possible that I'll be in NS in late May... thanks for the offer. You might want to retract it before I settle in and make a rank mess. Just as James and Marie about their awkward house guest, that just never left.
