Kristmas in Korea

As calls of 메리 크리스마스 (merry christmas) ring out in the streets, I suddenly realize that its that time of year again. For the first time ever it kind of snuck up one me. Korean stores have the peculiar notion that October is not an appropriate time to put up the garlands and crank the carols. Here we were well into December and you'd have barely any idea what was coming. FInally though the Paris Baguette, Dong-A and others are getting into the mood. Unfortunately Korean Christmas decorations are generally inspired by the discount bin at the dollar store.
